Backstage at Fashion Week has a rhythm of its own. Models come one after another and the schedule rarely holds. On top of that, they often sit down for makeup last, so it is up to the makeup artists to make up the lost time while keeping the result at the highest quality.
Working at the shows in Milan and Paris taught me to read every face quickly, adapt my technique to it, respond to changes and stay calm under pressure. The makeup has to hold up under harsh lights and in front of the photographers' lenses, while fitting seamlessly into the overall styling vision.
My Fashion Week experience sharpened my precision, speed and eye for detail. Today I bring all of it into my work with clients – from bridal makeup and photo shoots to bolder evening looks.
